What made you want to do your own line of signature stockings, your Secrets In Lace Dita Collection?
I have been obsessed with seamed stockings my whole life, and I would collect vintage ones that were made in the '40s and '50s with the authentic styling of the keyhole, the welt, the reinforced toe and heels, French or Cuban heels, and hand-stitched seams. I can't stand faux-seamed stockings with lycra - you lose the sensual feeling of the fabric. So, I began shopping with Secrets In Lace, and together we made the ultimate fancy-styled seamed stocking.

Bizarre Interview from April 2002

Why has there been a renaissance in popularity for the cheesecake ideal of the 1950s as a modern glamour high (the bettie page look, the growth of cheesecake conventions, the revival of burlesque, etc?

The images of woman in film, art and pin-up from the 1930s and the 1940s were the most elegant of the 20th century. I love the fashion from many different eras, but I think mid-century found the perfect balance of sexiness and femininity. I have a significant number of female fans because they appreciate erotica being done in a more elegant manner. It's the same thing with burlesque, people are tired of the same old strip club experience. When I started trying to get into men's mags with this style eight years ago, I was told it would never happen. I stuck with it because I knew there had to be a place for it.
